This is a must, especially, if the company being dealt with is a foreign company. It is not necessary that if the website address has “uk” in it, it should be a UK company. It is therefore necessary to check for the physical address.

The next thing to be considered is the packing, posting and other and other handling costs and check it with that of the parking, fuel and other handling costs occurred when purchasing from the high street. While buying from foreign companies, extreme care has to be taken, as the enforcement laws would be different in different countries, and it might be difficult to enforce the contract, should anything go wrong. In such cases, it is always better to pay by Credit Card. Information like Privacy statement has to be checked for, in the site that explains about the steps taken on the personal data collected from the shoppers.

In short, the online site that has been chosen for shopping should abide to the following rules and details: It should protect the shopper’s privacy and should have strong security measures in place, should inform about the cancellation procedures, should be able to deliver goods within the specified time-frame and more importantly should have a complaint help desk that sorts out all problems and complaints that the online shopper meets. If the following things are looked for in a site, it makes home shopping a pleasurable and wonderful experience!
